So much energy and enthusiasm in the Reality Computing Meetups!
We are now organizing Reality Computing Meetups all around the USA, to educate, listen to and discuss with a completely new audience about the various use cases covered by this new category.
- With a group of more than 160 Reality Computing Adopters in San Francisco, we had a pretty large audience during our first meetup on May 5th in Autodesk Gallery, where about 100 people showed up. Speakers included Autodesk people: Rick Rundell, Technology and Innovation Strategist, Elmer Bol, Product Manager for Recap, Tatjana Dzambazova, Technical Evangelist, and Dominique Pouliquen, Marketing Director for Recap. They all showed various technologies and use cases, ranging from industrial applications to digital heritage. We also had the chance to have Matt Bell, CEO and co-founder of Matterport (http://matterport.com/) who made a nice presentation of his new capture device (Pro 3D Camera) for interiors.
- Our Reality Computing Group in Portland is slightly smaller (<70 Adopters, but growing!) and almost all of them were present on Tuesday, May 27th, at ADX Portland (http://www.adxportland.com/). Again, so much creativity and energy in this cool place for Makers! Speakers were Dominique Pouliquen (Autodesk), TJ McCue, the writer and driver of the 3D RV (http://3drv.com/) and Matt Krell from CIMTECH (Stratasys Reseller - http://www.stratasys.com/). Everybody learned a lot about all these new capture and create technologies!
- Next meetups:
- Seattle on June 3rd
- Atlanta on July 23rd
- Pittsburgh: Date to be confirmed in July
- Boston on August 6th
- San Francisco on July 30th
See you there!
